How do I begin planning a trip with Bonvivant?

Do you charge a planning fee?

Yes. Depending on the complexity of your trip, we charge a concierge/planning fee. This fee covers our time, expertise, and access to our vetted global network. All costs will be disclosed upfront before you commit.

What is your cancellation or change policy?

Our policies mirror those of our travel partners (hotels, airlines, tour operators). We’ll outline any penalties or deadlines before you finalize your booking. If changes arise, our team will guide you through next steps and liaise with suppliers on your behalf.

Do you use a specific platform for bookings?

Yes, we partner with Fora, giving us access to well-established booking platforms such as the Fora booking portal, Virtuoso, Expedia TAAP, and many more. All invoices, insurance, and payments for your travel components will be managed through Fora, ensuring a secure and seamless booking experience.

How do payments and fees work?
  • Referral Commissions: For most itinerary bookings, you won’t pay anything directly to Bonvivant; we receive a referral commission from the suppliers (hotels, resorts, tour operators) we work with.
  • Supplier Payments: You’ll pay these suppliers directly (processed via Fora). Fora handles all invoices and insurance so everything stays simple and organized.
  • Additional Services: If you need specialized or extra services beyond standard trip planning, we charge an hourly fee of USD 180–€220, depending on the complexity. We’ll always confirm any extra fees upfront before proceeding.
Will I pay more by booking through Bonvivant than booking directly with the hotel or an online site?

You’ll pay the same rates you’d see on the hotel’s official website—there’s no additional markup because you work with us. Our compensation primarily comes from the supplier’s referral commission, which is not added to your rate. While some online travel agencies (e.g., Booking.com) may offer occasional discounts (like Genius rebates), our clients typically gain far more value through perks (room upgrades, breakfast, hotel credits) and the time-saving, risk-reducing expertise we provide. A slightly lower rate can’t always compensate for a wrong hotel choice that impacts the entire trip; our in-depth knowledge helps you avoid bad experiences and maximize your vacation.
