Aspen: A Year-Round Paradise in the Rockies

December 29, 2024

Beyond its reputation as a premier ski destination, Aspen has evolved into Colorado's most sophisticated mountain town. With an impressive 250 days of annual sunshine, world-class dining, vibrant art scene, and exceptional shopping, this Rocky Mountain gem attracts both seasonal visitors and those seeking to establish permanent roots in its enchanting environment.

Aspen boasts three standout luxury properties, each with its own distinct character. The St. Regis offers an ideal location steps from the lifts and town center. The historic Hotel Jerome, part of the prestigious Auberge collection, represents the pinnacle of mountain luxury. For ski enthusiasts, The Little Nell provides modern elegance with the unique advantage of ski-in/ski-out access.

Where to Ski

Aspen has 4 mountains, Ajax, also known as Aspen Mountain is the heart of the après scene. Highlands is more for advanced Skiers, while Buttermilk is more for beginners, and Snowmass is a quick drive or bus ride from town.

The beauty of Aspen is that these four distinct mountains are all connected by a free shuttle service, letting you mountain-hop based on your mood - whether you're feeling social, adventurous, laid-back, or ready to challenge yourself.

Where to Shop

  • Kemo Sabe stands as Aspen's retail icon, where custom cowboy hats and handcrafted boots draw both locals and celebrities alike. This is the coolest store in town for authentic Western wear.
